About GDPR and business archives

We filmed our morning seminar on 22 February 2018  about GDPR and the demands that the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) puts on business archives specifically. The event was jointly arranged by us at the Centre for Business History and Setterwalls Law Firm.

At the hour-long seminar, we covered how the new EU-legislation concerning GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) affects business archives and what you may keep in your archive. (Spoiler: You will be able to save almost exactly like before. A well-arranged business archive actually simplifies your overall GDPR-work. We explain more in the film.)

In the film you’ll meet:

  • Senior counsel Anders Ackebo, Setterwalls, who shares a tale about how a well-ordered business archive with structured personal data saved a Swedish insuarance compnay from a class-action law suit.
  • Parnter Sophia Spala and associate Emma Jarkell, Setterwalls, about how a correct archive management may simplify your GDPR-compliance work.
  • Andreas Blüme, responsible for digital service management at the Centre for Business History, about how busines archives can help you on the road to GPR-compliance.

Moderator was Anders Sjöman, head of communication at the Centre for Business History.
