Electrolux has a new historical website
– and we made the content for it

In August 2019, it will be 100 years since Electrolux was founded by the mythical Axel Wenner-Gren. For the company’s centennial, we have helped the company publish a book, build a historical exhibition – and now also contributed material to a historical web: ”100 years of better living

The historical section “100 years of better living” is part of the Electrolux Group’s corporate site and tells Electrolux history from three themes: taste (about kitchen products), care (about clothing and furniture products) and well-being (for air and environmental products).

Even though “taste”, “care” and “well-being” are today’s summaries of Electrolux’ business areas, their development is clear when you dive into the company’s history, starting at the beginning in 1919. The historical site shares this development in articles for respective areas. It is richly illustrated with pictures, advertisements and films from the Electrolux archive, which we at the Center for Business History handle for the company.

For the company’s centennial, we have also helped the company with a jubilee book, ”Shape living for the better: The first 100 years of Electrolux” and a historical exhibition at the company headquarter.
