We are proud winners of the Publishing Prize 2018 with our A&E DESIGN – THE BOOK, in the category “Organizational history, book form”.
The Publishing Prize is an annual juried contest for films, websites, newspapers, magazines, books and other printed matter in English or Swedish. The jury’s motivation for naming A&E DESIGN – THE BOOK winner in its category was:
For a solid production with interesting and well-written texts and a coherent visual design.
The book’s editor, Anders Landén from the editorial team at the Centre for Business History, received the award at a gala function at Berns Hotel in Stockholm on 7 November.
In A&E DESIGN – THE BOOK (Business History Publishing, 2018), Kerstin Wickman, writer and professor of Design & Crafts History, tells the story of the design studio that Tom Ahlström and Hans Ehrich founded in 1968 and its global success. A&E DESIGN is also lauded with an exhibition at the National Museum in Stockholm, which just reopened after two years of renovation.
The book was given its form by Patrik Sundström. Stephen Whitlock proofed the text and Hylte Tryckeri printed it. Our thanks to the Torsten Söderberg Foundation for financial support.
