Welcome to a live conversation about the history of the Swedish audit industry with Katharina Rahnert and Peter Öhman, editors of the new anthology “Revision i går, i dag och i morgon” (in translation “Audit yesterday, today and tomorrow”).
Katharina Rahnert (Karlstad business School) och Peter Öhman (The Centre for Research on Economic Relations (CER) at Mid-Sweden University) are editors and two of the writers of the new anthology Revision i går, i dag och i morgon” (Ekerlids förlag, 2023; in rough translation “Audit yesterday, today and tomorrow”).
The book, which was published in connection with the 100th anniversary of the trade association FAR earlier this year, is divided into two parts, with the texts in the first part describing the historical development of the auditing profession. In the second part of the book, a number of current themes are presented and certain future predictions are made. The authors of the chapters in this popular science anthology are mainly researchers from Swedish universities within the subject disciplines of business administration, law and economic history.
In this lunch webinar, Katharina and Peter will describe their work with the book – and above all its content and how they see the development and future of the audit industry.
