The archives of the major book publishers form part of our cultural heritage and are important sources for researchers. Meet publishers, authors and researchers in a discussion about source materials, publishing and the business of culture.
In the first of our four anniversary seminars, during our 50th anniversary year, we give a unique insight into what is hidden in the historical archives of a large book publisher. Come meet:
- Writers Jens Liljestrand, Carina Burman, Bengt Jangfeldt and professor Anna Williams about the benefits – and joy – of delving deep into original scripts and author correspondence.
- Publisher Abbe Bonnier and CEO Nelly Bonner in a conversatin with our head of research Anders Houltz, about their view on reasearch into the Bonnier files and the archive of late author Lars Norén.
- Also: listen to “Fridas visor” by Birger Sjöberg, performed by our own Krister Hillerud and Gustav Norqvist-Svensson.
Moderator is Tobias Svanelid. And as a bonus, we will put on display a selection of original documents from the publishing archives, shown only this time.
- When: Wed 21 Feb, kl 15.00 – 17.00
- Where: Centrum för Näringslivshistoria, Grindstuvägen 48–50, Bromma.
