ICA SBA 17: Deirdre McParland, Electricity Supply Board (ESB)

Deirdre McParland, senior archivist at the Electricity Supply Board (ESB) of Ireland tallks about how the ESB uses its history to build brand and strengthen organization. And to show how the history of a company and a country often is closely intertwined.

The 90-year long history of the Electricity Supply Board (ESB) of Ireland is intertwined with the history of the modernization of Ireland. The collection of historical materials that is available in the ESB Archives highlights this fact, as Deirdre McParland, senior acrhivist, shows in this presentation from the ICA SBA conference in Stockholm in April 2017.

Also, watch Deirde participate in the panel “Sharing corporate stories with the public“.
