What do Sweden and Germany have in common? Lots of course – and not the least business history. On 6 and 7 May, the Centre for Business Hisotry host the annual conference for German corporate archivists and business historians – in Stockholm.
Vereinigung deutscher Wirtschaftsarchivare normally meet in German-speaking countries, but for the first time they have chosen Stockholm for their annual meeting. On 6-7 May 2019, we welcome close to 100 German business historians and corporate archivists.
The Swedish contribution to the program, which is available at VdW’s home page, consists, among others, of professors Heiko Droste of the Stockholm University and Pelle Snickars from Umeå University, together with our head of research Anders Houltz. Also in the program are deputy national librarian Lars Ilshammar and publicist and professor Thomas Steinfeld.
Topics covered range from our bilateral history to corporate heritage and issues that relate to the archive profession.
The conference is invite-only and will take place in the Eric Ericsson Hall, with German as its main language.
