The history of free trade told at the World Trade Day

The annual World Trade Day takes place on 31 Aug this year, and is arranged as always by the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. This year the theme is the significance of global cities and their role in growing international trade. Our Alexander Husebye contributes to the context with a presentation about the long history of free trade, both within and between nations.

Alexander’s presentation builds on the seminar on free trade that we organized in 2016 and the recently published report “Perspektives on Free Trade” which we release (in Swedish only) at the World Trade Day.

Other participants at the World Trade Day are minister of enterprise and innovation Mikael Damberg, professor Greg Clark of The Brookings Institute; Kristina Lindhe, CEO of Lexington; and Kaj Möller, CEO of Sweco International.
