Business History Award 2022

Who should receive the Business History Award 2022? It’s time to nominate your candidates now. What person, group or company do you think have made lasting contributions to highlight Swedish business history and also shown the role Swedish business plays in our shared societal heritage? 

You can nominate both private individuals and researchers as well as companies, academic institutions and other organizations. More about the price can be found here.  With the award comes a prize sum of SEK 100,000*.

The Business History Prize was established by the Centre for Business History in 2019. The very first recipient was the writer, historian and educator Anders Johnson. During the corona year 2020, the prize paused – but in 2021 it was shared by the Economic Museum and the Dalén Museum in Stenstorp. And now it’s time to hand out the 2022 award.

  • Nomination period starts: 20 June 
  • Nomination period: 20 June – 11 Sep
  • Jury considerations: 12 Sep – 20 Oct
  • Award winner informed by end of October.
  • Award winner presented on 7 November at award ceremony in Stockholm. (Time and place å prisutdelningsceremoni i Stockholm.  (Time and place will be announced later.)



Jury

The Centre for Business History, founder of this award, is one of the world’s leading business archives. We help Swedish companies to take care of their historical material in professional archive solutions, both physical and digital. Companies are further offered support in actively using their history as a strategic asset. In addition, the Centre for Business History, through its research secretariat, conducts independent research and initiates projects in interdisciplinary collaboration.
